Public Trust Center for Schools Evaluating Cloper
This page summarizes how we think about security, privacy, student data, accessibility, and vendor oversight. It is meant to help schools and districts evaluate Cloper before procurement and during security review.

Security by Design
Cloper is built to support least-privilege access, authenticated workflows, auditability, and operational controls that are appropriate for K-12 environments.
Contractual Protections
Schools and districts receive platform agreements designed to address FERPA, COPPA, state student privacy requirements, and operational expectations.
Operational Visibility
We design the platform to support logging, reviewability, and customer visibility into sensitive administrative workflows and access patterns.
Responsible Data Handling
We do not build the platform around monetizing student data. Customer data is handled to deliver contracted services, maintain security, and support lawful operations.
Security Overview
Cloper serves K-12 institutions where privacy, reliability, and operational accountability matter. We design our systems and workflows to support secure access, administrative review, and responsible handling of school data.
- Encrypted transport for public website and application traffic
- Authenticated administrative workflows and account-based access patterns
- Operational logging and audit-oriented design across key platform actions
- Managed infrastructure partners for core hosting, storage, email, and monitoring
- Contract-driven privacy and security commitments for customer platform data
Student Data Commitments
Our public website is separate from the customer platform, but our customer relationships are built around the reality that schools are entrusted with highly sensitive student and family data.
- Customer platform data is governed by separate service agreements, privacy terms, and DPA commitments rather than the public website terms alone.
- Cloper is designed so school and district customers remain the primary decision-makers for student data collected in connection with their use of the platform.
- We do not use student data collected through the platform for sale or behavioral advertising.
- We aim to support role-based access, operational logging, and administrative accountability across sensitive workflows.
- Platform agreements are structured to address FERPA, COPPA, and applicable state student privacy obligations.
DPA and Security Review Requests
If your district or school needs legal or security review materials during vendor evaluation, we can provide supporting documentation through our sales and contracting process.
